We all know what they are. We've all probably been bumped into by a kid who's wearing them. They are now banned from being worn or used in Walmart. The average age of a person who wants them and uses them is 8. We've all rolled our eyes or worried about someone crashing while wearing them. Do you know that in the heelys manual, they highly recommend the user to wear a helmet and full elbow/knee pads and wrist gaurds? The last line of the manual is: USING THIS PRODUCT CAN LEAD TO SERIOUS INJURY OR EVEN DEATH.
Next time you see someone rolling down the isle of the grocery store or in a parking lot... Don't roll your eyes or mumble comments of annoyance. If the person on them happens to be 27 years old with a big ol' grin on his face, don't think "oh how nice that that disabled person is coordinated enough to use those". Just smile and wave hello because that person just might be my husband!
