Loving the Weekends

Bill and Shirley gave us tickets to the jazz game this past weekend. We won which made it an extra bonus to be there! Every time that I go to a Jazz game I think of the time that Alecia and I went a couple of years ago and had lame-o dates but we got on the Jumbo-Tron! Not our dates. Steve and I have yet to get on the big screen, but let me just say, he's a whole lot of a better date wherever we go!
The battery in the camera was dying, but we got a picture of the court before that happened.
Thanks Glen and Jamie for offering up your place for the Christmas party and thanks Nick and Dyanna for hosting! We had so much fun and ate way too much. My favorite holiday treat is Ginger Snaps and Bre brought the yummiest ones with this pumpkin frosting dip for them.... Umm... SO GOOD. I need your recipe please Bre!

Nellie and the girls are here for the holiday's and it is so fun to have some kids running around the house. It was way too cute not to take a picture of Mia when she was eating her peanut butter bar with Nutella for the frosting. She kept licking her lips surprised every time that they tasted so good.

What We've been doing...

What an interesting couple of weeks it has been... Hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving! The weekend before, Steve took me on a surprise date. He told me I needed to dress very nice and then bring a change of clothes. He took me to dinner to Chef's Table in Provo. It was so yummy! I've been talking about this place called "Jump on It" in Lindon. It's a place just full of trampolines. (Yes, I'm a child at heart and always will be). He took me there after. We had so much fun. It took a while for our bellies to think it was fun, since we had just eaten. I know it's cheesy but I seriously have a super rad hubby! I'm so thankful for him and for all he does for me.

My mom's brother Greg and his family came for the week. Josh and Steve were soon BFF's and it was so great to see them and to spend some time with them. It's been about 3 years since I've seen them and it was their first time meeting Steve.
We spent Thanksgiving day at Steve's parent's place. It was great to see everyone, (Bill and Shirley's family and Becky's family was missed). This was the beginning of me not feeling well, so this is the reason I don't look so great.... Oh well.
Steve's dog Daisy is getting pretty old so we took some great pics of her. The DaISy...
The kids made a "restaurant" downstairs. Ryan got a little fed up with uncle Steve and his demanding orders. It's amazing that they didn't have a lot of certain items for something that's imagined...

We did the Temple Square thing and went to the "This is the Place" monument. All in all, it's been great. We had a lot fun and we have a whole lot to be thankful for... School is out in less than 3 weeks... YEA!

SCHOOL!

School has been so incredibly busy the past week or so and the rest of the week is going to be insane! We're keeping our heads up and the light at the end of the tunnel is becoming blindingly bright! December 17 is the last day I will be a student at UVU!

So hopefully I'll have time to post a little, but I don't think I will for the next little while, so from us to you:

HAVE A VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

pHOto OP

Remember how I love this guy really A LOT!?! Excuse the red-eye issues with this photo sesh.

Less Than 5 Weeks Left!!!

So... guess what? If you count the time off that we have for Thanksgiving, school is over in less than 5 weeks. Can you tell I'm excited?! I thought that it'd be bitter-sweet when it came to an end and I'm sure that it will be eventually, but I am SO OVER group assignments, writing press releases and researching Little Giant Ladders! (The Little Giant Ladder thing is an ongoing LONG assignment).

We finally convinced Rob and Sarah to go climb with us... We had a lot of fun and I think they did too. It's always fun to do something fun and active with good friends. We also went to Red Mango (the frozen yogurt place). It is amazing! Try their pomegranate yogurt with fresh raspberries. YUMMY...

Thanks for finally coming with us guys. You did great and we hope we can force you into loving it as much as we do!

So I couldn't post pics for some reason, so scroll down and they are there!

Not enough hours in the day...

So I'm in the middle of doing 5 assignments and need a little break. Honestly, I wake up at 7 a.m. and get home at 8 p.m. and still feel like I'm not getting enough done. It's been hectic, but it's all going to be worth it... RIGHT?

So I am surviving but just barely. So I am apologizing to anyone that I have been short with in the past two weeks or acted agitated towards. It's not the real me... It's just the stressed out, wanna pull my hair out monster me. I'm trying to tuck that monster away and get back to my happy smiley self.

I'm well on my way, so please don't run in the other direction when you see me. The Grouch is gone!!!!

Weekend of Parties

So we have had a fun-filled weekend and we're trying to be okay with going back to busy life. On Friday, Steve dressed up in my cheer uniform. We're not going to make it a habit to watch Grey's Anatomy the night before while I paint my husbands nails. We're also not going to make it a habit for him to wake me up at 7 a.m. to do his make-up for him. He won 3rd place in the contest at work which got us a $25 gift card to Cheesecake Factory, so it was all worth it.

We went to my friend Marianna's party on Friday. It was a lot of fun. They went all out on the decor, had yummy snacks and had scary movies playing in the back room all night. I saw "The Shining" for the first time. We went and visited Jake and Syree later that night. It was nice to get into our sweats and clean off all of the make-up.

So Friday night I was a rocker and steve was a ??? tranny? I told him next year we need to try to have him not wear womens clothing. Saturday afternoon we went to Paranormal Activity (the movie). It was good. I was scared and I think it even got to Steve a little. It was a perfect movie for Halloween. That night we went to Alisa's party. We ate chili, played games and made caramel apples. It was a really good time. We decided to be pirates that night.

We met up with Mike and Amy later. Mike went all out with his Riddler costume. HE IS NOT THE JOKER. Don't ask him, he'll get mad. It was a great weekend. Thanks to everyone who made it so great. We're going to go hardcore next year. Getting started on them soon!!!

hALlowEEn TimE...

Last week for FHE we had dinner at our place (with my homemade applesauce) and then went over to our new friends' Cory and Lindsey's to carve pumpkins. I was really excited because it's been years since I've done this and I was happy with how they turned out.
Concentrating so hard...
The finished product with their makers.
I was stoked about my mustache man. Steve thinks his looks better in normal lighting. They're on our porch and they're doing pretty well except for Steve's pumpkin's ears are shrinking.
This weekend Aubrey and Kurtis invited us to be their team for a pirate scavenger hunt. It was a lot of fun... A little weird, I'm not going to lie, but whoever was in charge put a lot of work into it and made it a success.
I thought this lady with all of the facial hair was really funny. Like I said, a little strange. I had Steve secretly take a picture of her and decided it wouldn't be fair if I was the only one who could enjoy it. So... You're Welcome.
I know, we're pretty scary looking. We've got some parties to go to this weekend. I'm not sure yet what we're going to be... Any suggestions?

BEWARE: Picture Overload

So, we've been having a lot of fun... Conference weekend we spent up at the cabin in Logan with friends. We played a lot of volleyball, did some fishing, around the world ping-pong, ate and watched conference. It was so beautiful up there. You know how I love the fall weather.

Ashley got baptized a couple of weekends ago. These are the 8 year old nieces and nephew. Aren't they cute?

Ashely had a lot of support for her big day!
We went out with Alecia and Sam on Friday and we had so much fun. We went to Nightmare on 13th and honestly, it wasn't as good as the Haunted Forest in American Fork. It was Sam's first time going to something like this so that was fun.

Our cute hubby's. We're so glad we finally got together...
Steve and I went to the Ingrid Michaelson concert on Saturday! It was so great. It was his anniversary gift to me. I was a little worried on her opening number because she was a little off on pitch. The rest of the songs were AMAZING. She was great Live. Thanks babe!

Katy was in town this past weekend. So great to see her and to meet the boyfriend. We'll miss you Katy! But we'll see you in a few months. Disney Cruise here we come!!!
Fall Break was great and now I'm back a school. Half-way through!!! Woo-Hoo... What's everyone doing for Halloween? We're carving pumpkins tonight and I'm so excited.

Lovin' Fall

Honestly, I love fall! I love the colors, I love the crisp air with the sun still shining, I love love LOVE fall. That's as cheesy as I'll get today. Anyway, we're living up the good weather even with colds, school and work. We spent last weekend in Fish Lake with my parents and Aubrey and Kurtis. It was so fun and so beautiful. We went to Capitol Reef on Saturday and the weather was perfect. It was Steve's first time there so that was pretty cool and I know he enjoyed it. We went boating and shot some guns... It was just a great weekend get-away. Thanks mom and dad!
