Heelys

We all know what they are. We've all probably been bumped into by a kid who's wearing them. They are now banned from being worn or used in Walmart. The average age of a person who wants them and uses them is 8. We've all rolled our eyes or worried about someone crashing while wearing them. Do you know that in the heelys manual, they highly recommend the user to wear a helmet and full elbow/knee pads and wrist gaurds? The last line of the manual is: USING THIS PRODUCT CAN LEAD TO SERIOUS INJURY OR EVEN DEATH.

Next time you see someone rolling down the isle of the grocery store or in a parking lot... Don't roll your eyes or mumble comments of annoyance. If the person on them happens to be 27 years old with a big ol' grin on his face, don't think "oh how nice that that disabled person is coordinated enough to use those". Just smile and wave hello because that person just might be my husband!

A Weekend Away

This past long weekend Steve and I decided to get away to the beautiful St. George. Steve's parents got a place down there at the beginning of this month so we got to visit with them. Bill and the kids were there (we missed Shirley and Melissa) and Michele and her family were down as well. It was good to spend some time with the family. We also had some friends down there. I can't believe that I didn't get any pictures! We got to test out our new bikes and had so much fun doing so. My bum is a little sore though. I'm not going to lie, I need to get used to it, but we're excited for the snow to melt. It was such nice weather and it was a bit depressing coming back to the freezing cold weather! Spring will come soon enough, right?

ONE YEAR

Yes, it's been a year since the first time Steve and I went out! Who knew that it would end up being the first date of eternity. I honestly couldn't be any happier. We're so incredibly lucky and are just living everyday to it's fullest. We had quite the weekend. Our sink got insanely clogged and we tried all sorts of chemicals to get rid of the clog, but just ended up having our entire house smell like bleach. We spent our nights at Mark and Wendy's (thanks mom and dad) to avoid death... Maybe just headaches, but I felt that the fumes might kill me. We went cross-country skiiing with my family on Saturday morning and had a blast. Mom might have been a little too adventurous and landed softly on 8-10 feet of snow. Watching her fall and getting out of the hole of snow she made was hilarious. Steve and the landlord fixed the sink after our morning of fun and we celebrated by drinking Mexican Hot Chocolate at the CoffeePod in Provo. It was so yummy!!!

I'll save you from reading a bunch, but please excuse the red-eye photo's and yes... We have another famous "jumping" picture!!!
