'tis the season

TO BE JOLLY

This is something that I need to keep reminding myself this season. It's been long and really stressful with work and I have sometimes found myself feeling sorry that I can't feel the Christmas spirit as much as I would like to. I came to the realization that it's ME who needs to change my attitude. Life gets busy. Life gets stressful. I can still be JOLLY and JOYFUL.
I have so much to be grateful for... I am so incredibly blessed with a job, with a wonderful husband, with an amazing family. I don't know what I'd do without Steve, my family or the gospel. Life may not always be going exactly the way I think it should be, but I am grateful for the opportunity to know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and that I can be still and find peace in that knowledge.

WISHING YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

It's just metal, right?

Update: Jethro is doing much better and oddly enough behaving like he never has before. I guess it took a near death experience for him to realize that life is just so much easier when he listens to his masters :) He's getting more energy every day and all is well in his happy little life except for his horrible haircut he received from his days in doggy hospital.

On another note...

If you happen to see this guy walking around town, work, school, the gym, etc. without a wedding ring on, don't get the wrong idea. He is still taken and happily married. He just may or may not have lost his wedding ring while shoveling snow one night. People keep saying it will turn up in the spring, but since we pretty much live in the woods, I'm not feeling too hopeful about it.

Remember this guy?..

He got into rat poison and is currently getting a blood transfusion... It's been a rough couple of days for Jethro (and Steve and I). Hopefully all goes smoothly. Our New York money is now going into getting this little guys fixed. New York will always be there for us to visit, right?

It's official...

It's Wintertime!
The past couple of weeks Steve has been outside at night plowing and shoveling snow... It's only just begun! I appreciate so much that he makes sure that it is safe for me to get out of the driveway early in the morning when I go to work.
We're getting a lot of snow and I have a feeling that it's going to be a long winter. We're busy, but it's nice when we get a night in and we watch a movie and the snow outside next to the fireplace... Ahhh....

So I'm working as a department manager at Target and it is pretty much taking up my entire life. Nothing say's "Welcome to your new job" like a pie in the face, right?

My sis-in-law Michele gave me the best early Christmas present EVER! She took me to the "So You Think You Can Dance" tour a couple of weeks ago! It was so great and you can make fun as much as you want, but if you would've gone, you would've thought it was amazing as well. Super entertaining and it's so nice to watch people who actually know how to dance, dance. Non of this Dancing with the Stars crap! Thanks Mich!
Like I said, work is pretty crazy, but Steve and I are still finding time to hang out and enjoy each other's company. I'm just a little more tired than usual. I have yet to make it through a movie without falling asleep since I started. Steve's doing great in school. We're looking forward to a vaca to Mexico in February and we're thinking about New York for Steve's birthday weekend in December...

Happy Halloween

We had a great/relaxing Halloween weekend. We decided to forgo the parties this year and just hang out. Steve and I had a stay-at-home Friday evening watching scary movies together. We went out to dinner and a movie on Saturday with some friends. It was a great weekend. On Sunday, we had my family over. We all dressed up and made caramel apples for dessert. Steve spent all afternoon making name tags for the place settings and we had a spooky candlelight dinner. I think it all turned out to be a success.

Fall is fading TOO quickly

So things are super busy in the lives of Steve and Meg, but we always find a little time to have some fun. I first just want to give a shout out to that guy I call my husband. I think he's pretty great and he deals with me and my stresses so well. It's been really stressful starting this new job. I have to be a grown-up or something and that can be hard at times. Ha ha... He's handsome, loving and even empathetic. I'm pretty darn lucky.

We went to Thriller... and if you are a LOVER of this production, read no more.... I was just disappointed. There were a few dances that were really good but most were just okay and there were even a few times that I was flat-out bored. I'm glad that we went and we had a good time, but I'm pretty sure that we won't be going every year.

As I've mentioned, we are house sitting for Steve's parents while they are serving another mission. It's great and large and sometimes scary... It has started to snow and that means that my favorite season is almost over. It has been SO beautiful... I hope we don't get snowed in this winter... Wish us luck.

Elder Fullmer is HOME!!!

I had to throw in a picture from the State Fair... It was so much fun. It was my first experience and I loved it... It'll probably be an every year to do thing.
Nathan got home 6 days ago and he is doing great. Looking for a job, getting a car, adjustin back to normal life. He was a great missionary and we're so proud of him. We're also just really happy to have him home!
Avery is getting bigger every day. I can't handle this little one. I just love her so dang much!!!

And... We're back!

So I'm assuming that anyone who used to read this blog no longer does, but I'm going to start back up again anyway.

It has been a crazy couple of months.

-We moved to Bountiful and now have Jethro AND Willy and believe me... They have been a handful this far

-I started my job with Target and I am in my last week of training. I got an executive position up here

-We celebrated our 2nd anniversary in San Fran and had a blast

-Steve went part-time at work and is now taking some classes at the university again

Those are just a few things that have been going on. We're busy, but we're enjoying life and the people we have around us. We have great family and friends who are super supportive.

Life is good. Maybe someone will read about ours. Ha ha...

Better Late Than Never

So it's been a fairly busy couple of months... And I may or may not have just been a lazy blogger, but here is just a little update. I officially graduated in December, but we celebrated it last month when I walked. I'm really glad that I walked because I got to see some people that I'll probably never see again one last time.
My parents gave me a rocking chair for the celebration since it's kinda tradition to have a rocking chair in all of our homes. I love it. I'll love it even more when we have somewhere to put it... It's still at my parents.

I still love that guy Steve and he and I have been having great adventures and good times together. I'm starting to run... RUN! I hate running but it's my goal to get to a point where I don't hate it so much! I'm still loving being an aunt and Avery is getting so chubby! It's the best. I can see her and love her whenever I want to but I don't have to lose sleep because of her. Ha ha...

Alive...

I'm alive and planning on actually blogging very soon. Please don't give up on me or this silly blog.

I'm a REAL Aunt!!!

So the title was not made to offend my in-laws. I love all 23 nieces and nephews on Steve's side, but I wasn't around when any of them were born. They were already part of the family by the time I joined. So... Aubrey finally had her baby!!! Avery Lynn Glover was born on March 30, 2010 (my great-grandpa "Papa G"s birthday) at about 3:00 pm. She weighed 7 pounds and 5 ounces and was 18 inches long. She's beautiful! Aubrey was in labor for 18 hours and wasn't progressing so they finally all decided that a C-section was the best move. Kinda crappy that she had to wait 18 hours before that decision was made. It was an amazing experience to be able to have been there with her. Of course I wasn't in the operating room, but I was right outside. Baby, mom and dad are all doing well. They got home on Saturday and are adjusting well. Avery had a rough night on Saturday, but has been doing better since. I absolutely LOVE her! Steve keeps reminding me that she's not our child. Ha ha... I spoil her already, but I'm trying to not get too carried away. I'll have a child of my own someday and I don't want him/her to feel as if I love Avery more! (This is not an "I'm Pregnant" announcement). Thought some people might enjoy some pics.

She's adored by all...
Remember how long I was at the hospital too? Please excuse the GREASE....
First picture with Great-Grandpa Fritz
The next night, my friend Amie and I went to the Michael Buble concert. Thanks to Amie's mom for bailing on her, I got to go. He was great and so incredibly talented. Thanks Amie!
